HI, MY NAME IS RENA!
I am the creative behind Portraits by Reenuh. I know that your time is precious, and thank you for spending a moment with me. Let me tell you a little bit about myself!
First, and most importantly I am a mom of 5 wonderful kiddos. From 6 to 23, each any every one of my children are my pride and joy; my most beautiful and prized works of art. My oldest four children are beginning to graduate, to marry, and have children of their own. And our littlest? He's 6 and and he keeps us on our toes! And coming from two quiet parents, boy is he's a talker! And somehow along the way I picked up a handsome redhead husband and found myself spoiled beyond measure. I am an incredibly blessed wife. I'm pretty certain that my husband believes I can run every half marathon I set my eyes on, and that he secretly loves to sabotage every effort to maintain my waistline by indulging my love for cinnamon rolls and street tacos. I thank God for him and our healthy children each and every day. And as our family grows, I feel that I am truly in the best season of life right now!!
Outside of family and photography.... in my free time I identify as a cyclist, runner, street taco SNOB, and a huge selfie enthusiast just to name a few! I spend my weekends in women's bike clinics, cycling the greenway with my family. I shamelessly spend way too much money on 5k's, 10k's, and half marathon's because I absolutely love to collect finisher medals. And if you know me, you know that I love to journal my life as a series of selfies... the places I go, the activities that I do, the people that I spend time with... I truly love the gift of photo. From my profession, to my personal life, the creation, the artistic vision, the photograph is in my soul.
I fell in love with photography in a college photo-journalism course, but because I landed a great office job quickly after graduation I didn't pursue it. Years later my husband would purchase a gorgeous glossy red Nikon as a Christmas gift that would renew that passion. Since then, I have spent years taking photos for family and friends just for fun, but each and every photo seemed to grow and evolve as I went. I began to feel a pull to create, to do more and to take it a step further and after a handful of photo's that felt like magazine covers, I knew it was time. Portraits by Reenuh was born. I find that I am always looking for the next 'spot'.... the place with breathtaking scenery, something with the perfect color pop, and a natural and captivating composition. My passion lies with the vision and creation of my craft. I love creating and capturing memories and moments as beautiful timeless mementos for families to cherish for generations to come!
